Title I Parent Coordinator - 2026-2027 School Year

Terms of Employment: 2026-2027 School Year 10 hours per month or until work is completed Work outside regular workday scheduleSalary: $3500 (Title I Funds)TITLE: Title I Parent CoordinatorREPORTS TO: Director of Grants and Building PrincipalMINIMUM QualificationsUnderstands reading and mathematical instruction.Demonstrates good organizational skills.Demonstrates good decision-making skills.General DescriptionThe Parent coordinator is to implement parent involvement activities to promote literacy and mathematics concepts and programs. Involving parents in their child's education is the focus of the position. There is a minimum of 10 hours per month.Specific Duties And ResponsibilitiesConducts fall and spring district Title I parent meetings.Creates and distributes Title I parent handbook and brochure concerning Title I programs and parental rights outlined in Title I federal guidelines.Sends quarterly communications to parents about district programs and ways they can assist their child in school.Develops and sends parent and staff surveys about the educational program.Compiles and prepares a report on the results of the surveys.Conducts training activities for parents to understand how to work with their children.Conducts a district-wide literacy event annually.Work with building principals and staff to organize and conduct parent involvement activities in each building with a min. of one activity per building per year.Maintains a file of parent activities, parent notification, parent compacts, and results of surveys or parent comments.This job description in no manner states or implies these are the only duties, functions, and responsibilities to be performed by the position incumbent.
