Job Summary: Rag & Bone is looking for a Men’s Footwear & Accessories Designer to help shape the next evolution of our footwear and accessory categories. This role will report into the Head of Men's DesignThis role will focus on designing footwear alongside a growing assortment of accessories including belts, bags, small leather goods, and seasonal accessories. You will work closely with the Head of Men’s Design to develop product that reflects the brand’s balance of heritage, craft, and modern utility.The ideal candidate has strong footwear design experience, a refined eye for materials and construction, and the ability to translate creative ideas into commercially viable product.What You’ll DoDesign Footwear CollectionsDesign seasonal men’s footwear across categories including sneakers, boots, and casual footwearDevelop original silhouettes, constructions, and sole concepts aligned with brand directionCreate detailed design sketches, technical drawings, and concept boardsWork closely with development partners and factories to bring designs to lifeDesign Men’s AccessoriesDesign accessories including belts, bags, small leather goods, and seasonal accessoriesDevelop products that complement the seasonal collection and support key product storiesIdentify opportunities to expand and elevate the accessories assortmentDrive Creative DirectionResearch and present inspiration across culture, materials, and product innovationExplore new materials, hardware, and construction techniquesPartner with design leadership to ensure footwear and accessories align with the broader collectionDevelopment & ExecutionPartner closely with Product Development to manage the development process from concept through final sampleReview prototypes and samples, providing clear feedback to vendors and factoriesEnsure product meets standards for quality, fit, and brand positioningMaterials & DetailCollaborate with materials and sourcing teams to identify leathers, fabrics, hardware, and trimsDevelop unique design details that differentiate product in the marketCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Merchandising and Product teams to ensure designs support category growth and commercial goalsWork with Marketing and Creative teams to support storytelling around footwear and accessoriesWhat We’re Looking For5+ years footwear design experience within premium or contemporary brands3+ years accessories design experience (belts, bags, small leather goods preferred)Strong knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and manufacturing processesExperience designing sneakers and casual footwear silhouettesStrong understanding of the men’s market and trendsStrong sketching ability and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and PhotoshopExperience working with overseas factories and development partnersStrong eye for proportion, materials, and detailKey TraitsProduct-obsessed and detail-orientedStrong design sensibility rooted in modern menswearCollaborative and open to feedbackCurious about culture, materials, and innovationAble to balance creativity with commercial awarenessRules we live by | Rules you live byBe a Good Human | Be original, be authentic.
