Chief Operating Officer – Long Island, New York (On-Site)
We have been retained by a well-established and growing boutique law firm in Long Island, New York, which seeks to hire a Chief Operating Officer as it enters a period of strategic expansion. The firm conservatively projects doubling gross revenue in 2026, and the COO will serve as the integrator — the key operational counterpart to the firm’s leadership — and will be responsible for building and executing the infrastructure that carries the firm forward.
Key Responsibilities
Build, refine, and optimize firm-wide operational systems, workflows, and processes to support rapid growth
Develop and enforce KPIs and performance metrics; meet with attorneys weekly to drive accountability
Oversee daily operations, budgeting, and resource planning across legal and administrative teams
Manage recruiting, onboarding, and professional development to support continued hiring
Partner with leadership and the fractional CMO on digital marketing, intake, and client experience initiatives
Evaluate and implement legal technology solutions and drive consistent adoption firm-wide
What the Firm Seeks
3+ years in a Director of Operations or COO-level role, with a track record of scaling a small or mid-sized business
Background in a law firm or professional services environment strongly preferred
Proven success building systems and managing growth in a service-based organization
Familiarity with EOS or a similar operational framework is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and project-management skills
Must be willing and able to work on-site five days per week (at least for the first six months)
What the Firm Offers
Base salary of $175,000 to $225,000, depending on experience
