Leasing Manager
JP Management is looking to hire a Leasing Manager to join our growing team! The Leasing Manager will oversee all leasing operations across the portfolio, ensuring strong occupancy, exceptional customer service, and compliance with all housing regulations. This individual will partner closely with our Property Management team to ensure units are market-ready, leasing processes are efficient, and residents receive a seamless experience from move-in to move-out.
Key Responsibilities:
Portfolio Leasing Oversight
Manage the day-to-day activities and performance of the Leasing team across the entire JP Management portfolio
Lead weekly leasing meetings and actively performance‑manage the current Leasing staff to ensure accountability, productivity, and continued professional development.
Review daily and weekly leasing reports, including lease signings, application activity, and occupancy trends.
Oversee property walks for move-ins, showable units, amenity spaces, and overall curb appeal.
Property & Unit Readiness
Assist with maintaining the physical grounds, leasing offices, amenity areas, building exteriors, common areas, and parking lots to ensure they remain market-ready and welcoming.
Partner with Property Managers and Maintenance teams to coordinate unit turns and prepare apartments for showing.
Resident Experience & Compliance
Conduct pre–move-out inspections with residents and clearly communicate lease obligations, policies, and procedures.
Ensure all leasing practices comply with Fair Housing, ADA, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable regulations.
Vacancy & Leasing Strategy Management
Manage and monitor all lease vacancies across the portfolio.
Work closely with Property Management leadership to implement leasing strategies that drive occupancy and retention.
Support marketing efforts to ensure consistent, accurate property listings and brand representation.
Qualifications & Requirements
5+ years of experience in leasing or property management within multifamily apartment communities or complexes.
Strong knowledge of Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA, and other regulations governing multi-family housing.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
Reliable transportation and ability to respond to on-call or urgent needs at properties when required.
Ability to travel between multiple properties throughout New Jersey and New York.
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000 base
