OverviewBe part of the nation’s only repository for the disposal of nuclear waste known as Transuranic (TRU) waste.Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Mine Operations Material Requistioner and join our team located in Carlsbad, New Mexico.ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will work with Mine planning, Hoisting management, and procurement to obtain and stage materials/supplies required for underground infrastructure projects, equipment purchases, day-to-day tools or consumables as well as administrative supplies, furniture, and electronics. This function will be required to initiate purchase requisitions and execute credit card orders.Minimum RequirementsThese requirements must be met to be considered for this posting. Uploaded resumes and completed applications are the means of determination.Bachelor’s degree, orAssociate’s degree with four (4) years of related experience, orHigh School Diploma or Equivalency with eight (8) years of related experience is required.Must have demonstrated experience with the use of Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication skills, both oral and written are mandatory.Must be at least 18 years of age; U.S. citizenship is required except in limited circumstances. See DOE Order 472.2 for additional information.Preferred RequirementsPreference given to candidates with experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (especially CHAMPS).
