Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionField Operations Supervisor - Environmental ServicesCEHMM is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that offers a wide verity of environmental services to clients throughout southern New Mexico.The Field Operations Supervisor - Environmental Services is a permanent full-time position located in Carlsbad, NM, reporting to the Environment Services Project Manager. The Field Operations Supervisor - Environmental Services will accomplish the following, including but not limited to:Supervise Field Staff in the Environmental Services DivisionOversee field-related operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, deployment, and project coverageConduct QA/QC of field data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirementsCoordinate with the Fleet and Maintenance Manager to ensure vehicles, UTVs, and equipment are properly maintained, available, and assignedCollaborate with the Environmental Services Manager to prioritize projects, align staffing with organizational objectives, and allocate field resourcesProvide leadership, training, and professional development for field staffEnsure field personnel are in compliance with all relevant safety regulations, policies, and best practices, including completing and reviewing daily Job Safety AnalysesAssist in developing and implementing operational procedures, processes, and policies to improve efficiency and data qualityServe as a primary point of contact for resolving field-level issues, troubleshooting challenges, and communicating updates to the Environmental Services ManagerMaintain accurate records of field activities, schedules, and staff assignmentsOther duties as assignedRequirementsMinimum Job Requirements:RequiredHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of three years of experience in operations, scheduling, workforce coordination, or staff supervisionDemonstrated ability to manage people, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong organizational and time-management skillsProficiency with common office software (Word, Excel) and ability to learn project management toolsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordPreferredFive or more years of experience managing teams, operations, or project schedulesBachelor's degree in any fieldExperience with QA/QC processes for data or documentationExperience working with fleets, equipment scheduling, or logisticsFamiliarity with environmental or natural resource projectsDemonstrated ability to develop or improve operational procedures and best practicesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:RequiredStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide field staffAbility to manage multiple schedules, priorities, and resources simultaneouslyProficiency in organizing and coordinating operational activities, including fieldwork and equipment useAbility to conduct QA/QC reviews of field data and ensure accuracy and completenessKnowledge of safe work practices and ability to promote a culture of safetyStrong problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in dynamic field environmentsAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with staff, managers, and external partnersPreferredExperience with fleet coordination, vehicle/equipment scheduling, or logisticsFamiliarity with basic environmental or natural resource survey requirementsExperience developing or improving operational procedures, checklists, or SOPsAbility to train and mentor field staff in best practices and efficient work methodsAbility to identify opportunities for operational improvements and implement solutionsWorking Conditions and Physical Effort:Work involves considerable exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noisesConsiderable physical activityWork involves exposure to potentially dangerous materials and situations that may require following extensive safety precautions and may include the use of protective equipmentThis description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
