Job Title: RN - Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Partum/Mom Baby Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: BLS Certification Description: Contract position for Registered Nurse in Postpartum specialty. Shift work from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. This position is for 13 weeks with no on-call requirements. The unit has 24 beds and a staff of 26. Staff includes 1 charge nurse, 4 registered nurses, and 1 clerk during the day shift. There are no Patient Care Technicians at night. Patient ratios typically range from 3:1 to 4:1, occasionally 2:1 depending on acuity. The unit utilizes EMR Meditech and CPN for documentation. Candidates without required skills will not be considered for this role. Preferred qualifications include experience in Labor & Delivery or Antepartum care. Typical procedures performed include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin and magnesium drips, and heparin drips. Teamwork and good communication skills are essential for success in this role. Dress code requires navy blue scrubs.
