Description: Contract position for Registered Nurse specializing in Postpartum care. The unit has a total of 24 beds with a staffing ratio that includes 1 charge nurse and 4 RNs. Support staff includes 1 clerk during the day. No patient care technicians are available at night. Patient ratios are typically 3:1 and 4:1, with occasional 2:1 ratios depending on patient acuity. The unit utilizes EMR Meditech and CPN for electronic medical records. Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively as a team and communicate effectively. Dressing code requires navy blue scrubs. No call requirements are in place, and weekend shifts are rotating. Typical procedures performed in this unit include non-stress tests, hyperemesis management, insulin drips, magnesium administration, and heparin drips.
