This key leadership role involves close collaboration with the President, CEO, and Chief Executive of the Alaska Native Medical Center. The successful candidate will be the highest-level physician member of the executive team, responsible for promoting the organization's vision, mission, and objectives, and ensuring its financial sustainability. The role requires a strategic, innovative, and forward-thinking mindset, with a strong focus on quality improvement and assurance. The EVP will work with the executive team to develop and implement strategies to achieve the company's short and long-term corporate goals and will provide guidance to the Vice Presidents in the organization. The ideal candidate will have a background as a high-level physician executive, with experience in large-scale and complex service lines and operations, particularly in community-based healthcare, accountable care organizations, and large vertically integrated health systems. A strong advocate of the company's mission, the candidate should possess a collaborative leadership style, the ability to work with diverse stakeholders, and a passion for a community-owned healthcare model. A medical degree (MD or DO) with appropriate board certification, at least 5 years of experience as a practicing physician, and a minimum of 10 years in corporate management, including at least 5 years in a senior medical leadership role, are required.
