Responsibilities: Provides support on HVAC construction Serves as Lead Technical resource on assigned projects. Reports on job status and performance. Controls job costs. Develops and maintains productive relationships with peers, customers, GCs and subcontractors. Ensures use of PPE and the application of safe behavior, including vehicle safety, by all employees. Ensures compliance of Installation policies and procedures, including project tracking, safety, time and attendance, etc. May oversee 3 rd party resources. Directs and oversees the work of other Apprentices and Journeyman assigned to specific projects. JOB REQUIREMENTS HVAC Installation Knowledge Knowledge of sheet metal installation and piping of commercial HVAC units. Knowledge of plumbing and pipe fittings, and ability to perform sheet metal assembly. Knowledge of and ability to read blueprints on HVAC refrigeration, electrical and plumbing. Ability to hang evaporation coils and install overhead hangers. Ability to use hand and power tools and good mechanical skills. Knowledge of jobsite safety, ability to oversee work activities to ensure safe work practices and safety rule compliance. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications: High school diploma and trade or technical school classes; 5 years experience in the construction industry, and hands on field experience in commercial HVAC construction; and major market remodeling. Knowledge of commercial HVAC construction products and tools. Knowledge of refrigeration equipment Knowledge of blueprints, detailing HVAC duct fittings.
