This role is a strong fit for an early-career marketing professional with 2 to 3 years of experience who enjoys collaborating with others, takes pride in thoughtful communication, and wants to grow within a team focused on meaningful work.Marketing at Mahlum plays an important role in helping the firm pursue projects that serve our communities. Proposals and interviews are often the first chapter in establishing partnerships and introducing our values, ideas, and experience. Based in Portland, this position supports marketing efforts across both our Portland and Seattle studios and collaborates regularly with firm leadership and project teams to help win work that aligns with our mission.What You'll BringGrounded in our shared values of Impact, Craft, and Presence, you may see yourself in some of the following:A developing writer who is motivated to strengthen storytelling skills and translate technical ideas into clear, compelling languageDetail-oriented and precise, with strong proofreading skills and pride in polished workProactive and accountable, able to manage multiple assignments and anticipate deadlinesEnergized by shared goals and collaboration within a focused, high-performing teamWe are hoping for:2 to 3 years of professional marketing, communications, or proposal coordination experienceProficiency in Adobe InDesignWorking knowledge of Microsoft OfficeStrong written and verbal communication skillsExperience in architecture, engineering, construction, or other professional services industries is a plus but not required.This role is based in our Portland office and follows a hybrid schedule, with a minimum of three days per week in the office. Additional in-office time may be required during active proposal deadlines. Mahlum supports flexible and remote work opportunities when project schedules allow.This is a non-exempt position with a targeted starting annual salary range of $65,000–$75,000 ($31.25–$36.06 per hour), depending on experience. Employees are eligible for discretionary bonus compensation in addition to base salary.
