They are looking for a professional to join their U.S. operations to help bridge the gap between North American and Asian markets.About the RoleA bilingual Import & Export Coordinator will be responsible for managing logistics and ensuring compliance in international trade operations.ResponsibilitiesGlobal Freight Management: Manage end-to-end ocean and air freight forwarding operations, primarily focusing on routes between North America, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia.Specialized Project Cargo: Coordinate the logistics for high-value, large-scale shipments including heavy machinery and industrial plant equipment.Compliance & Documentation: Ensure all shipments adhere to Federal Maritime Commission (FMC) regulations and manage necessary import/export documentation.Strategic Consulting: Provide logistics consulting to help corporate clients optimize their supply chains and navigate North American customs.Operational Oversight: Manage the full lifecycle of shipments, from initial booking and drayage to final on-site installation at the client’s facility. QualificationsExperience: 2+ years in freight forwarding, maritime logistics, or international trade.Language Skills: Business-level fluency in English is required. Proficiency in Japanese (only conversational) is required.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of FMC regulations and Incoterms. Experience with oversized freight is a plus.Soft Skills: Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high-touch service standards. Must be a collaborative team player comfortable working within a small, focused operational group.
