Headquartered in the United States, we operate a global network of over 1,200 employees across 15 offices throughout North America, Europe, and Asia.Position OverviewThe Senior Air Import Specialist will play a critical role in managing inbound air freight operations and coordinating with international suppliers and logistics partners to ensure shipments move efficiently from origin to final delivery. A large portion of this role will support pharmaceutical and life sciences imports, requiring a high level of accuracy, attention to documentation, and coordination with partners handling temperature-sensitive and regulated shipments.This role serves as a key point of contact between suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed efficiently and in compliance with import regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage international air import shipments from origin through final deliveryCommunicate with overseas suppliers, freight forwarders, and airline partners to schedule and track inbound air freightSupport the import of pharmaceutical and life sciences products, ensuring proper handling and documentation for regulated or temperature-sensitive shipmentsPrepare, review, and process air import documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, and arrival noticesWork closely with customs brokers to ensure timely and compliant customs clearanceMonitor inbound shipments and proactively address flight delays, customs holds, or documentation issuesCoordinate domestic transportation and final delivery once shipments . airportsEnsure compliance with U.S. import regulations, customs requirements, and company policiesMaintain accurate records of shipments, freight invoices, and import documentationTrack freight costs, duties, and tariffs when applicableProvide shipment updates and logistics reporting to internal teams and stakeholdersIdentify opportunities to improve shipment visibility and logistics processesQualifications:1+ years of experience in a similar air import roleExperience supporting pharmaceutical/healthcare shipments strongly preferred but not requiredBasic knowledge of customs procedures, shipping documentation, and international logistics processesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple shipments and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Corporate Resources, on behalf of our client located in Elk Grove Village, is hiring a Senior Air Import Specialist.
