**Job Summary and Responsibilities****Job Summary / Job Purpose**The **Registered Nurse - Specialty Clinic** provides direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed clinician. This role supports patient care in a community health setting by assisting providers, educating patients and families, and ensuring efficient clinic operations. The RN performs clinical duties with professionalism and minimal supervision.**Key Responsibilities**+ Monitor patient flow and assist in maintaining efficient clinic operations.+ Collaborate with healthcare providers to support patient care needs.+ Assess and triage patients to the appropriate department within the clinic.+ Obtain and document accurate health histories, including medication reconciliation.+ Administer medications via oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, intradermal, and IV routes following nursing policies and procedures.+ Perform phlebotomy and collect specimens for diagnostic testing.+ Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, medications, and health management.+ Assist with procedures as directed by the provider.+ Maintain clinical competencies and adhere to quality and safety standards.+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives.+ Perform other duties as assigned.**Job Requirements****Job Requirements / Qualifications****Education / Accreditation / Licensure (Required & Preferred):**+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing **(required).**+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing **(preferred).**+ Current and valid **RN license** from the state licensing board **(required).**+ Additional specialty certifications **(may be required based on the clinic specialty).**+ **Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).****Experience (Required & Preferred):**+ **2 years of nursing experience in a specialty clinic** (e.g., OBGYN, cardiology, orthopedics) **(required).**+ Experience in a clinical outpatient setting **(preferred).****Where You'll Work**Welcome to CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group, a full service network of primary care services specializing in family, internal, geriatric and pediatric care serving 88 locations across central and Eastern Kentucky.
