*About Us* The Cooler is a neighborhood dive bar in Eugene — the kind of place with regulars who know each other's names, cheap drinks, and no pretense. We've been part of this neighborhood for years, and we're working on bringing back the energy that made this place a go-to spot. We're looking for someone who wants to be part of that, not just clock in and out. *The Job* We need a bartender/server who can run a shift solo when it's quiet and keep their cool when it's slammed. You'll be behind the bar and on the floor — pouring drinks, taking orders, running food and tabs, and making sure everyone who walks in feels like a regular, even on their first visit. *What You'll Do* * Mix and pour drinks accurately — well drinks, beer, and simple cocktails * Take orders and serve food and drinks to tables and the bar * Check IDs and cut people off when needed — no exceptions * Handle cash and card transactions, and keep an honest, accurate register * Keep the bar, taps, and seating area clean and stocked through the shift * Open or close the bar independently, depending on the shift * Deal with the occasional difficult customer calmly and fairly * Pitch in on ideas for events, promos, or nights that could bring people back in the door — we're rebuilding and want input from the team, not just management *What We're Looking For* * Previous bartending or serving experience preferred, but we'll train the right person * Must be 21 or older * Comfortable working solo and handling a full bar during a rush * Reliable — shows up on time, ready to work * Friendly with regulars, welcoming to new faces * Able to lift kegs/cases and stand for a full shift * Must obtain an OLCC alcohol service permit (we'll point you to the class if you don't already have one) * Available nights and weekends *Pay & Schedule* * Pay: Oregon minimum wage ($15.55/hour) plus tips * Tips are on top of full minimum wage * Shifts: evenings and weekends, with some flexibility for the right person.
