The position focuses on optimizing production performance, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring all operational and safety metrics are consistently met.The individual will actively monitor well performance, diagnose production issues, and execute corrective actions while collaborating with cross-functional teams including operations, maintenance, engineering, and optimization. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical knowledge of artificial lift systems, production equipment, and digital monitoring tools.ResponsibilitiesProduction Monitoring & OptimizationMonitor well performance using digital tools and identify production variancesDevelop and execute step-by-step plans to restore wells to target production levelsEscalate production issues to appropriate technical resources when neededReview and validate production volumes and coordinate correctionsField Operations & MaintenancePerform site visits, inspections, and troubleshooting of wells and surface equipmentOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot production equipment including separators, compressors, heaters, tanks, and associated systemsExecute basic maintenance activities and coordinate additional support when requiredEnsure proper wellhead and facility operation prior to intervention activitiesWork Management & ReportingCreate, update, and close work orders and job safety analyses (JSAs)Accurately document operational activities, downtime codes, and field observationsMaintain clear and detailed shift handovers and communication logsCollect and manage field data for production validationSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) and permit requirementsParticipate in daily safety meetings and job hazard assessmentsMaintain site housekeeping and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standardsReport incidents and escalate issues according to established guidelinesInspections & MetricsEnsure completion of required site and equipment inspections within defined timelinesTrack and manage performance metrics including inspection compliance and verification targetsIdentify and close operational gaps through continuous improvement effortsCollaboration & CommunicationCommunicate daily activities and production updates with team members and stakeholdersCoordinate with operations, engineering, automation, and maintenance teamsProvide clear updates during shift transitions to ensure continuity of operationsSkills and QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalent; relevant field experience requiredStrong understanding of oil and gas production operationsExperience working with artificial lift systems (e.g., plunger lift, gas lift, compression, or flowing wells)Hands-on experience with wellhead and production equipmentAbility to troubleshoot production issues and execute corrective actions independentlyStrong communication and teamwork skillsProficiency with digital tools and systems for monitoring and reporting (SCADA or similar platforms)Commitment to safety, environmental, and operational standardsTechnical KnowledgeArtificial lift systems (plunger lift, gas lift, wellhead compression, flowing wells)Production equipment including separators, compressors, heaters, tanks, and valvesBasic understanding of pressure relationships, flow dynamics, and well performanceField instrumentation and control systemsPreferredExperience with production monitoring and data systemsFamiliarity with work management systems and reporting toolsKnowledge of inspection and compliance tracking processesExperience working in a multi-disciplinary team environmentKey CompetenciesProblem-solving and critical thinkingTime management and work prioritizationAttention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to work independently in a field environmentStrong safety mindset and accountabilityPosition Details:Location: Yorktown, TXPay Range: With truck $36/hr Without truck $47/hrSchedule: The schedule is 4/10 Tuesday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
