Location: Yorktown, TX (Please note that for this role the company does not provide a vehicle - candidates must be able to use a personal truck)Schedule: 10/4Type: W2 Contract (12 months with possibility for extension)Benefits: Dental, Healthcare, Vision & 401(k)Production TechnicianPosition OverviewThe Production Technician is responsible for safely and efficiently producing wells and pads along an assigned route. This role focuses on meeting production and inspection targets, identifying and resolving production variances, and collaborating with field, optimization, and engineering teams to maintain peak operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Production ManagementIdentify production variances using approved production monitoring and SCADA toolsEnsure all wells meet or exceed clean average (target production)Develop and execute step?by?step action plans for underperforming wellsEscalate support needs in the following order:Lead Area TechnicianProduction OptimizerProduction ForemanEngineerCommunicate daily actions and route updates via the designated operations communication channelReview production volumes and escalate calculation discrepancies to EngineeringOperational Metrics & ComplianceSite InspectionsEnsure no overdue site inspectionsVerify inspection status using reporting dashboards or inspection reportsPlunger InspectionsEnsure inspections are current and within KPI guidelines:No more than 5,000 milesNo more than 12 months oldVerifications & GapsPerform production verifications and gap analysis using approved field toolsMeet an annual individual verification?to?gap target ratio of 15%Production CodingEnsure all production and downtime coding is accurate and currentConfirm:“Normal Operations – No Action” wells are correctly classifiedBase backout wells have undergone full troubleshooting before assigning underperformance statusWells producing above clean average are returned to Normal OperationsFollow up on wells remaining in engineering or optimization status longer than 7 daysGuidance: Any interaction with a well requires a downtime code entryField Support & AssistanceCoordinate additional support when sites require maintenance or automation workCreate work orders for appropriate disciplines when neededEnsure all valve manipulations comply with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) policyAssist in other field areas when primary route work is completed and metrics are metDaily Work ExpectationsWork PrioritizationAddress tasks identified during morning dispatch or triggered by intraday alarmsOn?Site ProceduresPlace safety cone at pad entranceCreate work orders for site entry checklists and Job Safety Analyses (JSA)Perform required operational or maintenance tasksUpdate well or pad deferment codes with detailed commentsClose or escalate work orders as appropriateSafety & CoordinationComplete independent JSA for automation or maintenance tasks unless performed by a crewReview and approve crew JSAs when applicableCommunicate handover requirements to night operations staffCollect facility run tickets every three days (during initial operatorship phases)Maintain housekeeping standards:Trash removalProper signageStandardized handoversTimely work order creationTechnical Knowledge & Training RequirementsArtificial Lift SystemsCandidates must demonstrate or be willing to learn the following:Plunger LiftBasic system operation and troubleshootingPerforming plunger inspectionsUse of calipers, removal tools, SOPs, and spare partsUnderstanding of plunger programs and inspection processesGas LiftRelationship between casing and tubing pressureEffects of over? and under?injectionSurface equipment operationSCADA?based troubleshootingAbility to recognize injection issues via flow dataOther Lift & Flow TypesWellhead compressionFree?flowing wells:Casing flowTubing flowAnnular and tubing production (OTAP)Technology & SystemsProduction monitoring platformsSCADA systemsWork management systemsSafety and compliance platformsDocumentation, communication, and mapping toolsEquipment & Facility ScopeResponsibilities May Include Operation, Maintenance, Troubleshooting, And Startup/shutdown OfWellheadsSeparators (HP/LP)Compressors and scrubbersHeater treatersCoolers and air compressorsChemical systems and fuel gas systemsTank level management systemsValves and control equipmentContainment and cellar systemsH?S treating and safety equipmentSchedule & LocationWork Schedule: 10/4 (Tuesday–Friday) Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PMLocation: Candidates must reside within 60 miles of YorktownEquipment & Vehicle Requirements4-wheel drive truckPersonal toolsLaptop and mobile phone (BYOD)4-gas monitorRequired PPE (must be provided by worker on Day One)Mileage & AllowancesMileage reimbursed at IRS rate for in?field travel onlyMileage begins at first work site and ends at last site before returning homeOn-call callouts are paid from departure from homeRequired TrainingsOSHA H2SOSHA HAZWOPER OSHA First Aid & CPR
