Lease Operator

DescriptionThe Lease Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of assigned wells and production facilities. This includes monitoring daily production, identifying variances, performing inspections, and executing basic troubleshooting to maintain or restore production targets.Key responsibilities include:Monitor production data and field conditions to identify underperforming wells and take corrective actionPerform routine site, equipment, and plunger inspections to ensure compliance with operational standardsTroubleshoot wells utilizing plunger lift, gas lift, compression, and natural flow systemsReview SCADA/field data (Cygnet, PI, or similar systems) and respond to alarms or production issuesAccurately document downtime, production impacts, and field activity through work management systemsCreate and coordinate work orders with maintenance, automation, or engineering teams as neededExecute daily field activities including JSA preparation, safe work practices, and adherence to LOTO proceduresMaintain wellsite conditions, including housekeeping, signage, and operational readinessCommunicate daily with foremen, lead operators, and support teams regarding production status and field needsRequirementsPrior lease operator, production technician, or oilfield operations experience preferredWorking knowledge of wellhead and production facility operationsExperience with plunger lift, gas lift, compression, separators, treaters, tanks, and related production equipment preferredAbility to troubleshoot basic production and equipment issuesStrong safety awareness and willingness to follow all company and client proceduresBasic computer skills, including email, reporting systems, and field data toolsStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work independently in the fieldMust be able to work in or around the Yorktown, TX area
