Job Description: Manager of People & CultureJob Title: Manager of People & CultureLocation: Syracuse, IndianaReports To: Director of People & CultureDepartment: People & CultureFLSA Status: ExemptTravel: Minimal (Primarily division-based with occasional travel for training or enterprise initiatives)Position SummaryThe Manager of People & Culture is responsible for delivering services and programs at the Airxcel division level for 100-400 teammates. This role focuses on attracting, selecting, and onboarding teammates, driving engagement, managing employee relations, and serving as a strategic Business Partner to teammates and site leadership. The Manager ensures compliance with employment laws and company policies while fostering a positive and productive work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead Talent Acquisition for the Division - Manage full-cycle recruiting, including sourcing, interviewing, and hiring for all division-level positions.Oversee Onboarding & Orientation - Ensure new hires receive a smooth and effective onboarding experience aligned with company culture and compliance requirements.Drive Teammate Engagement - Implement engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms to improve morale and retention.Manage Employee Relations - Serve as the primary point of contact for teammate concerns, resolving conflicts and ensuring fair treatment.Ensure Compliance - Maintain adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as company policies and procedures.Support Performance Management - Guide supervisors through performance reviews, coaching, and corrective action processes.Administer People & Culture Policies & Procedures - Communicate and enforce HR policies consistently across the site.Coordinate Training & Development - Identify skill gaps and facilitate training programs to support workforce development.Maintain People & Culture Records & Reporting - Ensure accurate documentation of teammate data, attendance, and People & Culture metrics for reporting to corporate leadership.Partner with Division Leadership - Collaborate with Plant Managers and department heads to align People & Cultures practices with operational goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Associate's degree with experience may be considered).5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence across levels.Experience in recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.Professional certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.Success MetricsReduction in time-to-fill for site-level positions.Improved teammate engagement and retention rates.Consistent compliance with all labor laws and company policies.Positive feedback from teammates and site leadership on support.Accurate and timely People & Culture metrics reporting to corporate leadership.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive compensation package commensurate with experience.Why Join Airxcel?Be part of a company that powers adventure and comfort for RV enthusiasts across North America.Work with a passionate team committed to innovation, unparallelled service, product expertise and committed partnerships.Competitive compensation, benefits, and opportunities for growth within the Airxcel family of companies.
