The successful candidate will be a dynamic and accomplished academic physician or physician-scientist, with a strong national reputation, to lead the department in its mission of excellence in education, research, and patient care. The Chair will be responsible for advancing the academic, clinical, and research missions of the department, and will play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the College of Medicine and its academic clinical partnership. The Department of Urology is a local and regional leader in urologic health programs, and the next Chair will have the opportunity to build on this strong foundation and take the department to the next level, with a focus on multidisciplinary clinical and research collaborations. Applicants for the Chair position must be board-certified in urology and have a proven track record of leadership, administrative experience, and a strong commitment to clinical care, education, service, and research. The role requires the ability to enhance and foster multidisciplinary collaborations, and the ideal candidate will have a background that demonstrates the ability to lead a department in a rapidly evolving academic and clinical environment.
