Water Operator

*Job Overview* We are seeking a dedicated Water Operator to join our team and ensure the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment and distribution systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining water quality, monitoring system performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to community health and safety through reliable water services. A TCEQ Class D Water Operator License is preferred, but we are willing to consider candidates with relevant experience and a willingness to obtain necessary certifications. *Responsibilities* * Operate and maintain water treatment and distribution equipment in accordance with established procedures. * Monitor system parameters such as pressure, flow rates, and water quality indicators to ensure optimal performance. * Collect samples for laboratory testing and interpret results to maintain compliance with regulatory standards. * Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent system failures. * Record operational data accurately and prepare reports as required by regulatory agencies. * Respond promptly to system alarms or service requests to minimize disruptions. * Assist in maintaining safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for all team members. * Stay informed about updates in water treatment regulations and industry best practices. *Skills* * Strong understanding of water treatment processes and distribution systems. * Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on related equipment. * Good observational skills with attention to detail for monitoring system performance. * Effective communication skills for reporting issues and documenting activities. * Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. * Preference for candidates holding a TCEQ Class D Water Operator License; relevant experience or willingness to obtain certification is acceptable. * Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
