Cath Lab Tech Location: Milwaukee, WI Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $3,180 per week Shift Information: Rotating - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/20/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiology Profession: Clinical Services Specialty: Cardiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: Varying shifts, either 8 hours or 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a fast-paced, high-acuity Cath Lab License: Registered Nurse License, WI preferred Certifications: BLS, ACLS; NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Experience in Cath Lab and Peripheral cases, including diagnostic and interventional procedures Description: This position is in a fast-paced and high-acuity Cath Lab. The lab performs between 24-40 cases a day. The patient population is adults, with no pediatric cases. The Cath Lab procedures include diagnostic, interventional, right heart catheterization, left heart catheterization, STEMI/NSTEMI, chronic total occlusion, valvuloplasty, biopsies, atherectomies, staged percutaneous coronary interventions, intra-aortic balloon pump, Impella, and ECMO experience is preferred. Additional cases include peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, as well as some fistulograms. Hybrid experience is preferred but not required, involving procedures such as AAA grafts, thoracic grafts, clips, TAVRs, and Watchman. Patient ratios maintained are typically 1:1. Permanent staff will monitor cases in the lab. Housekeeping will manage room turnover. Supply room is managed by designated staff, and rooms are stocked by night shift employees. A transporter is scheduled during the day from 0630 to 2000. There is a receptionist/health unit coordinator present from 0600 to 2000. Charge nurse and lead technician will be available, striving to remain out of cases. Respiratory therapists are present 24/7 to manage ventilators when necessary. A hospitalist team is available around the clock. Cardiology specialists are available 24/7. A critical response team is on standby for codes, if required. Charting is done via an electronic system. Equipment includes C-arms, hemodynamic monitoring systems, and various interventional devices. Floating staff assignments are not applicable. Travelers may work varying shifts to meet weekly requirements. Weekend rotation may include scheduled shifts or being on call. Call may be required every 2-3 months, with a maximum of 7 days of call. Call response time is 30 minutes. Time off requests can be approved for a total of 7 days. Typically, travelers are not expected to work on holidays. A fatigue policy is in place restricting hours worked to no more than 60 in a week or 5 consecutive 12-hour shifts. Scrub color is provided.
