Maintenance Manager (55322)

Founded in 1984, Best Formulations LLC, a diversified nutraceutical and personal care company headquartered in City of Industry, California, is a contract manufacturer of thousands of branded SKUs, including high quality nutritional supplements including softgels, tablets, capsules, powders, dietary supplements, and vegetarian softgels.About the role:As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the facility, machine and preventative maintenance program for all facilities. The equipment includes but is not limited to: Solid dose manufacturing equipment (Weighing, Blending, Tablet, Encapsulation, Coating, Inspection, Gummy), and all packaging related equipment. This will also include auxiliary equipment as well as facility equipment (electrical, boilers, chillers, HVAC, Kathabar, Compressed Air, Pumps spare parts inventory, etc.). The Maintenance Manager will also be responsible for maintenance across all shifts and for the training, coaching, and employee development of maintenance mechanics.How will you contribute:Responsible to keep Gummy production, Softgel, Solid Dose and Packaging machines and all related support equipment in working order.Maintain up-time / downtime targets.Repair relevant machines and all related support equipment safely, properly and per OEM and OSHA standards.Oversee Preventative Maintenance Program (PM) as well as TPM initiatives including relevant documentation. Includes Work order system and data analysis.Manages maintenance inventory (spare/repair/critical parts and tools) to ensure availability.Lead or assist in process improvements initiatives including engineering and construction projects.Work with auditors, vendors, suppliers as needed.Oversee any outside vendor contract work.Maintain department KPIs and track expenses as related to budget.Organize and maintain inventory of spare parts and critical equipment.Researches, obtains quotes and generates purchase orders for facility improvements, equipment, parts, and services.Manage, schedule, and train the employees of the maintenance team under his/her responsibility. This also includes Safety, GMP and Technical skills.Supports Company policies, procedures, and work-rules and ensures that department employees comply with policies, standards, and work-rules.Assists with interviewing and selection process of new hires for department, ensuring that non-discriminatory laws and guidelines are followed.Provides coaching, guidance, and training to department employees; ensures that employee meets company standards and work expectations as required by job description.Reviews safety rules with new department employees, ensuring that Company safety policies and work rules, as well as machinery safety rules and guidelines are understood, before the worker is allowed to operate machinery independently; participates in injury/accident investigations, and completes necessary reports; conducts daily safety inspections of machinery and work area.Sets a positive example of leadership to others within the department and throughout the organization; promotes a leadership style that encourages open communication, positive team-building efforts and employee morale.Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.Journeyman certificate or College Degree preferredMinimum five years or more maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant; nutraceutical manufacturing preferred.Three (3) or more years of work experience in a fast-paced work environment leading a teamKnowledge of Dietary Supplement cGMP and 21 CFR Part 111.Work Environment:May involve exposure to allergens such as Soy, Wheat, Fish, Shellfish, Milk, Egg, Tree Nuts and Sesame.Office setting where you will need to communicate through phone, email, and Teams meetings.Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises. Together We Grow!"This position is currently classified as on-site.Base Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00, based on candidate professional experience level.
