Locum Hematology/Oncology Opportunity Waterloo, IowaSeeking a Locum Hematologist Oncologist to provide outpatient-focused coverage within a collaborative, well-supported cancer care program.Position Details:Schedule typically Monday through Thursday with approximately 16 shifts per month8-hour clinic shifts with patient contact hours during standard daytime clinic operationsOutpatient-focused role with limited inpatient responsibilities; hospitalists manage admissions with occasional consult phone supportPotential phone-only call coverage averaging one week and one weekend per monthProvide consultations, follow-up care, and oversee administration of antineoplastic therapiesPerform services including bone marrow biopsies, phlebotomies, IV IgG therapy, and iron infusionsAverage clinic volume of approximately patients per dayAdult patient populationTeaching opportunities availablePractice Environment:Two advanced practice providers with no supervision requiredStrong nursing and ancillary staff support including lab, dietician, social worker, triage, and referral teamsAccess to onsite medical imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy servicesEMR: EpicRequirements:Board Certified in Hematology and OncologyFellowship training in Hematology and OncologyActive Iowa medical license or active IMLC participationFull-time availability Monday through ThursdayAbility to perform bone marrow aspiration/biopsy proceduresClean malpractice and background historyCurrent NPDB Self-Query report dated within the required timeframeby Jobble
