Salary : $81,286.40 - $113,859.20 AnnuallyLocation : Saint Paul, MNJob Type: Full TimeJob Number: 26-01737ODepartment: Department of Safety & InspectionsOpening Date: 03/10/2026Closing Date: 3/30/2026 11:59 PM CentralAbout the PositionThe City of Saint Paul Department of Safety & Inspections is hiring a DSI Fire Safety Inspector III to perform advanced level work in conducting the most complex and difficult complaint investigations, inspections, and enforcement actions associated with commercial, single family, and multi-unit residential properties related to property maintenance and public safety.Here's what you can expect to do:Conduct investigations, inspections, enforcement actions, and reviews. Identify, resolve, and manage the most complex violations, compliance requirements, and issues.Coordinate area enforcement activities, initiate assignments involving multiple staff, and monitor complex compliance issues through completion.Coordinate the efforts of multiple sections, departments, and agencies to address chronic compliance issues.Provide testimony at various venues, including City council, Legislative hearings, Administrative hearings, and court.Conduct complex research related to ongoing work and special projects, producing reports and recommendations.Develop training modules and train staff in work related techniques, procedures, and requirements.
