Transportation Engineer

Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesIn the role of Transportation Engineer, we'll count on you to:Serve in a technical role under the direction of a Project Manager on the engineering development of urban and rural highway and multi-modal transportation projectsOversee the work of CAD Designers, and possibly EITsPrepare detailed engineering designs for roadway and multi-modal transportation projectsParticipate in activities ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phaseEffectively communicate with multi-disciplinary project team members and deliver quality work products on time and within budget.Assume some project management duties and interact with clients as neededPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications4 years of experience in roadway engineering design. Experience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plansRequired QualificationsPrevious experience in all aspects of roadway engineering designProfessional Engineer (PE) licenseHands-on experience with Highways and Roads CAD engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3dMS Office knowledgeExcellent communication and organizational skillsExperience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plansAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
