We are all employee-owners at HDR, which is the foundation of our collaborative culture that connects employees around the world.In the role of Senior Transportation Engineer, we'll count on you to:Serve in the lead technical role in the detailed development of urban roadway design projectsPerform quality assurance checks on major transportation projects on interstate and state highway systemsServe as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexityAssume some project management duties and interact with clients as neededAssume some project management duties as needed and have a fair amount of client interactionSupervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and technicians as neededManage the following work elements: day-to-day communication (verbal and written) with the client, support, advise, and train junior engineers and technical staff, write reports and technical memos, coordinate with subconsultants, keep project on schedule and within budget, and keep client satisfied.Perform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications* Masters of Science Degree in Civil Engineering* Minimum of 15 years design experience* Experience designing urban arterials, rural highways, intersections, freeways, and/or multi-level interchanges.* Oklahoma DOT Schematic and/or PS&E project experience* Oklahoma municipality schematic and/or PS&E project experience* Experience with MicroStation, InRoads, Microsoft Office applicationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degreeA minimum of 10 years experience in all aspects of roadway engineering designRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Demonstrated leadership skills, communication skills and ability to work with various teamsProject management skills desirableExperience should include urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments, geometrical layout and CAD base alignment plansMust have coordinated survey, grading, drainage and utilities and layout of various site items is a plusAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
