Financial Director/ Controller- Industry Role

Job DescriptionA well-known, mid-size company in the Detroit area is looking for its next Financial Director/ Controller. This is an industry accounting position seeking someone hands-on. This is a sole-contributor role with departments under your management that are fully staffed. Experience/Qualifications for the Financial Director/ Controller:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred)5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience; previous sole-accountant/Controller experience in a small to mid-sized business requiredExpert knowledge of accrual-basis GAAP accountingDemonstrated ability to quickly learn and master custom in-house accounting softwareAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)Exceptional reliability, perfect attendance record, and proven ability to meet immovable deadlines with zero supervisionCompensation for the Tax Manager:Paid time off and holidaysCompany-paid health insurance with no employee contribution toward premiums; coverage includes medical, dental, vision, and low-cost prescriptions, Life Insurance policy, 401(k) with Company match up to 2.25%Potential year-end performance bonus between 5-15% dependent on accuracy and timely execution of financial statements, exemplary operation of the financial department, overall contribution to the Company's financial successContact: Kiara Myers, search consultant, to learn more about this confidential career opportunity.
