The platform significantly reduces, refines, and replaces the utilization of non-human primates in biomedical studies, accelerating the pace of preclinical and nonclinical safety evaluations and complements human in vitro models. We have pioneered proprietary technology that harnesses primate stem cells and stem cell-derived cells/tissues, paving the way for enhanced nonclinical drug safety screening in vitro. Exir Bio is seeking a dynamic and motivated Director of Sales to drive growth and build the sales foundation for an exciting and growing company. This includes opening new relationships and closing deals with clients in the Pharma and Biotech industries. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge about the workflow of early drug discovery, drug efficacy, and nonclinical safety/toxicology of the Pharma industry, strong selling skills, and a customer-focused approach to thrive in a promising startup environment. Responsibilities:Lead Generation: Research and identify potential clients in the Pharma and Biotech industries, specifically divisions of nonclinical safety and toxicology..Outreach: Initiate contact with prospective clients via cold calling, emails, social media, industry events, and other ways in order to develop relationships with company influencers and decision makers.Close Deals: Qualify leads based on their needs and potential fit with our solutions, and close deals.CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and activities in our CRM system.Reporting: Provide regular reports on lead generation activities, conversion rates, and pipeline status.Collaboration: Work closely with our technical and production team to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Requirements:Proactive salesperson that is driven to find new customers, cultivate relationships, and close deals.Strong presenter in group settings for prospective customers, such as seminars, lunch & learns, and more.Previous experience in the biomedical field required, preferably includes sales of preclinical services to Pharma and Biotech companies.Knowledgeable of nonclinical safety and toxicology of human drugs, and a basic understanding about drug safety evaluation and in vitro assays of nonclinical safety for species selection.Bring a network of contacts with preclinical and nonclinical safety divisions, as well as early discovery divisions of the pharma and biotech companies.Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) is required.A CRO experience or work experience in nonclinical safety is preferable but not required Comp includes base salary, commission, equity, and health benefits. This is a hybrid role that is expected to be in the office 3 days per week.
