Autistic Support Paraprofessional- Multiple Openings

Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Autistic Support Paraprofessional. This full-time position involves supporting teachers and students in a variety of educational settings. The ideal candidate will assist in the delivery of instructional materials, provide individualized support to students, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. This role is essential in ensuring that all students have access to quality education and the resources they need to succeed.Responsibilities:Assist teachers in preparing and implementing lesson plans and instructional materials.Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom.Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback and support as needed.Help maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.Assist with classroom management and discipline, promoting positive behavior.Collaborate with teachers and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.Support students during activities, including lunch, recess, and field trips.Maintain accurate records of student progress and behavior as required.Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in education and child development.Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising teacher or school administration.To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's degree or higher in education or a related field is preferred.Basic computer skills and familiarity with educational technology.Must pass background checks and any required certifications.Previous experience working with children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take initiative when necessary.Hours (Paraprofessionals work 191 days a year):Elementary: 8:35am-4:05pmMiddle School: 7:20am-2:50pmHigh School: 7:20am-2:50pm
