As a leader your advocacy empowers parents, children, and spouses, making a lasting impact on their well-being while strengthening the WKEDS brand.ResponsibilitiesCase Management: Manage a caseload of approximately 35, prepare legal documents, and ensure compliance with court procedures.Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients, explaining legal options and guiding them through the legal process.Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes in family law, attend legal seminars, and enhance legal knowledge.Court Appearances: Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.Ethical Practice: Uphold professional ethics, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to legal standards.Legal Representation: Provide high quality legal counsel and representation to clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, and adoption.Legal Strategy: Develop effective legal strategies based on individual cases and client needs.Mentorship and Firm Leadership: Serves as a model for work quality and professionalism. Exemplifies firm values and supports WKEDS mission/vision.Research and Analysis: Conduct legal research, analyze statutes, case law, and regulations to build strong arguments. QualificationsMinimum: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, admission to the state bar and excellent academic credentials.Bar membership in good standing.Minimum of five years of experience in family law litigation, with a proven record of successful case outcomes. Required SkillsCurrently licensed to practice law in Michigan, in good standing.5+ years of family law experience.Superior client advocacy.Advanced legal research, and analytical abilities.Exemplary leadership and case management skills.Strong writing skills.Exceptional listening and communication skills.MyCase.Accountability.Organization and attention to detail.Ability to multitask, manage changing deadlines, client demands and multiple cases.Data analysis and computer skill.
