This role will play a major part in developing security software for Travelport, integrating security controls during the design and development phases as well as looking at software designs through a cybersecurity perspective to identify and resolve any security issues. The goal of this position is not only to deliver on cybersecurity development, but to coach and train other developers in the techniques and practices for developing secure software that meet the needs of our Travel customers.Responsibilities include:Applies expert knowledge of principles and concepts in the development, design, and/or maintenance of multiple components or activities for more than one product with the specific expertise in the development of highly secure software systemsUnderstands impact on adjacent systems and long-term impact of technical decisions and recognizes importance of compliance with architectural direction and Cyber SecurityEnsures high quality and secure code is delivered that meets specificationsGenerates ideas to improve overall system design and/or streamline delivery of product/systemChampions needs of customer community and UX enhancement, emphasizing secure softwareActs as a key technical point of contact for a subset of larger project as a technical expertInterfaces with the Cyber Security team on a regular basis to assess possible vulnerabilities and collaborate on mitigation strategies on behalf of software development teamsAssist development teams in vulnerability scanning and remediation for identified security concernsProactively contributes to compliance with standard and best practices within application deliveryAbility mentor and lead other software developers in the creation of secure softwareUtilization of corporate project management tools as required eg: PPM, Jira etcUnderstands and guides others in how to in balance tactical needs with strategic application of platform, application and/or global architectural standardsActively contributes to collaborative relationships with key partners to accomplish technology deliveryMaintains awareness of emerging technologies, industry trends and security threats and drives adoption of software development engineering best practices eg: Agile working practicesCollaborate with DevOps teams to integrate software security testing and signoff with automated CI/CD pipelinesActively contributes to documentation of security controls for regulatory guidelines or standardsWho we are looking for in this role:Demonstrated experience utilizing application scanning tools such as Fortify, Nexus IQ, BlackDuck, etc.Demonstrated experience in detecting, understanding and mitigating security vulnerabilities in softwareDemonstrated experience in architecting highly secure software (structure, patterns, etc.)Backg and experience working across multiple components or one entire application (or internal business system)Experience developing, deploying, or supporting commercial, customer facing distributed or mainframe solutionsExperience developing/documenting cyber security application best practicesPossess deep domain expertise and experience working across a group of related products/applicationsExperience in Quality Assurance, software development, project management, operations, and other technical areasExperience leading projects and especially providing technical leadership for developersExperience in travel industry preferred4-year degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or combination of experience and educationIs working towards or has achieved certification in secure code development (CCSP, CSSLP, CISSP or equivalent)Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate technical information clearlyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) Visio as applicableExperience of Jira for Requirements/ Story management and work management tools (e.g.
