Employees are empowered to drive innovation, improve processes, and contribute to a culture focused on safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.About the RoleThe company is seeking an experienced Quality Engineering Manager to lead quality engineering initiatives within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This leadership role is responsible for developing and maintaining quality management systems, improving manufacturing processes, reducing product defects, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.The ideal candidate has strong expertise in automotive quality systems, process improvement methodologies, APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, and root cause analysis. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, production, suppliers, and customers, the Quality Engineering Manager will drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the Quality Engineering team in developing and maintaining world-class quality management systems.Develop, implement, and maintain Process Control Plans (PCP), PFMEA, and quality documentation.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve first-pass yield, reduce defects, and enhance customer satisfaction.Lead cross-functional corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities based on customer feedback, warranty data, production performance, and quality metrics.Perform root cause analysis and failure investigations using structured problem-solving methodologies.Coordinate APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes.Analyze manufacturing data and quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.Ensure compliance with IATF 16949 (TS-16949), ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.Partner with manufacturing, engineering, production, and supplier quality teams to resolve quality issues.Support Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement projects.Coordinate customer quality audits, plant visits, and quality reviews.Manage supplier quality performance and collaborate on corrective action plans.Prepare quality reports, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations.Mentor engineers and production teams in quality tools, statistical methods, and continuous improvement techniques.Support internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related technical field.Minimum 5 years of quality engineering experience within a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or management experience.Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems, manufacturing processes, and quality management principles.Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and FMEA methodologies.Knowledge of IATF 16949 (TS-16949) and ISO 9001 quality management systems.Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.Experience performing root cause analysis using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone, or DMAIC.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Ability to travel as required.Preferred QualificationsProfessional certifications such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified Mechanical Inspector (CMI), or ASE Certification.Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.Experience with electrical or mechanical product manufacturing.Experience leading customer quality initiatives and supplier quality management.Preferred SkillsQuality EngineeringQuality ManagementAutomotive ManufacturingIATF 16949TS-16949ISO 9001APQPPPAPPFMEAProcess Control Plans (PCP)Root Cause AnalysisCAPAFailure AnalysisLean ManufacturingSix SigmaStatistical Process Control (SPC)Measurement System Analysis (MSA)FMEAContinuous ImprovementSupplier QualityCustomer QualityQuality AuditingManufacturing EngineeringKPI ReportingMicrosoft Office SuiteTeam LeadershipProject ManagementProblem SolvingTechnical WritingCross-Functional CollaborationBenefitsCompetitive salary with performance-based bonus opportunities.Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement savings plan with employer contributions.Paid vacation, holidays, and personal leave.Relocation assistance for eligible candidates.Professional development, certification, and leadership training opportunities.Career advancement within a growing manufacturing organization.Collaborative, innovation-driven work environment.Opportunity to lead enterprise-wide quality and continuous improvement initiatives.Long-term career stability and growth.Equal Opportunity EmployerThe hiring company is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.
