Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience - Team player with a positive attitude Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. The facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. Services include cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, and surgical services. The facility is located 45 miles east of Raleigh. It is 2 hours from the coast and 1 hour from major universities. There is a 15-minute drive to a nearby lake. The unit has 26 beds with patient ratios of 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity. Common diagnoses treated include respiratory distress, overdose, congestive heart failure, dialysis, and hypertension. The equipment used includes GE monitors and standard Emergency Department equipment. The electronic health record system in use is Meditech. The ideal candidate should be engaged and have a positive attitude. Required education is an Associate's degree in Nursing. Dress code: Any scrub color is acceptable.
