Manager, Admissions & Central Authorization - F/T - Days

Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary: The Manager, Admissions & Central Authorizationis responsible forthe operational leadership, administrative oversight, and daily supervision of both facility admissions and systemwideinpatientcentral authorization functions within their designated area. The incumbent is accountable for all operational, administrative, and supervisory activities within the assigned programs, ensuring admissions and authorization services are performed accurately, efficiently, andin accordance withregulatory, accreditation, payer, revenue cycle, and health system standards. This role maintains responsibility for the planning, coordination, and evaluation of admissions operations, encompassing patient intake, bed placement coordination, insurance verification, pre-certification, and admitting functions, as well as the timely and accurate procurement of prior authorizations across all supported service lines and facilities, including authorization submission, payer follow-up, denial management, and documentation accuracy. The Manager provides direct oversight to supervisory and operational staff across both functional areas andparticipatesin hands-on operational activities as needed. This position is accountable for departmental performance, including operational processes and financial stewardship, and collaborates with clinical, nursing, perioperative, case management,utilization management,managed care, revenue cycle, and administrative leadership to support quality improvement initiatives, staff development, technology and workflow planning, and the achievement of departmental performance goals across both functions. The Manager exercises independent judgment in managing day-to-day departmental operations, staffing, and the execution of established admissions and central authorization programobjectivesseven days a week, 24 hours a day.
