Full-timeDescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled network systems developer to help build next-generation software-defined networking technology used in industrial and operational technology (OT) environments .This role involves developing low-level network control software , interacting directly with switches, controllers, and packet processing frameworks.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement SDN control and data-plane softwareDevelop high-performance networking services in C and RustImplement and extend OpenFlow-based control systemsBuild software that interacts with switch ASICs, flow tables, and packet pipelinesDevelop packet inspection and protocol analysis capabilitiesOptimize network performance, latency, and deterministic behaviorWork closely with cybersecurity and OT networking teams to implement deterministic network policy enforcementRequirementsRequired SkillsStrong development experience in C and/or RustDeep knowledge of network protocols and packet processingExperience with OpenFlow or SDN controller architecturesExperience with switch-level networking or programmable pipelinesUnderstanding of TCP/IP, L2/L3 switching, VLANs, routing, and flow controlFamiliarity with Linux or BSD networking stacksExperience debugging packet flows using tools such as tcpdump, Wireshark, or similarPreferred ExperienceDevelopment involving programmable switches (P4, eBPF, DPDK, or similar frameworks)Experience with industrial networking or OT environmentsKnowledge of deterministic networking, time-sensitive networking (TSN), or PTPExperience building SDN controllers or network policy enginesFamiliarity with cybersecurity controls for industrial networksIdeal CandidateYou enjoy working close to the network stack and solving problems involving packet behavior, deterministic control, and switch-level logic .
