Position Title: Network EngineerLocation: New York, NYClearance Requirements: NonePay Rate: $80.00/hourly on W2Position Description: We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a 6+ month contract opportunity in New York, NY. This fully onsite role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work with cutting-edge network technologies in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will design, configure, and deploy network security and infrastructure solutions, including switches, firewalls, and routers, with a focus on network segmentation, security, and monitoring. You will collaborate with a team to support network authentication, authorization, and advanced security tools, ensuring optimal network performance and security. This position is suited for proactive professionals eager to contribute expert network engineering skills on a contract-to-hire basis.Top Requirements:5+ years of network engineering experience, with expertise in configuring and designing Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto network devicesHands-on experience with authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), TACACS, and network segmentationStrong knowledge of switching and routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and static routingExperience with network security and monitoring tools, PCAP analysis, and network tapsFamiliarity with network automation, scripting (Python or other), and intrusion detection systems (IDS), especially in OT environmentsCertifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Cisco ISE, and Cisco StealthWatch are highly preferredAbout Seneca Resources At Seneca Resources, we are more than just a staffing and consulting firm, we are a trusted career partner.
