RN Per Diem - Operating Room (Mon-Fri)

The Hunterdon Center for Surgery, affiliated with Hunterdon Health, located in Flemington, New Jersey is seeking an RN in our Surgical Center.JOB SUMMARYAssumes responsibility for providing patient care in accordance with established standards of professional nursing care.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESUses surgical skills as a first line direct patient care treatment team. Assumes the surgical treatment team leader when assigned and ensures compliance with all policies and procedures. Uses an understanding of principles of growth and development to assess each surgical patient's age-specific treatment and careMINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTSAssociate's Degree or Diploma from accredited nursing program required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and certificate and/or Advanced Specialized or Technical Training preferred.MINIMUM YEARS OF EXPERIENCE REQUIREDMinimum of 3 years of Operating Room RN experience. Prior Ambulatory Surgical experience is strongly preferred.REQUIRED LICENSE, REGISTRY OR CERTIFICATIONGraduate of an accredited NLN program. ACLS preferred. AORN Certification preferred.SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES REQUIREDLeadership, strong surgical skills and high motivation. Good communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills required. Shows initiative and possesses good problem solving skills.
