Parts and Supplies Purchasing Agent

Job Description Air Engineers is seeking an experience Parts and Supplies Purchasing Agent responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring parts and supplies from a range of vendors including Trane, American Standard, Mitsubishi, Associated Distributor partners, and other approved suppliers. This role ensures timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials to support operational needs, while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to company procurement policies. The Purchasing Agent will monitor inventory levels, track orders, resolve supply issues, and collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand and optimize purchasing strategies.Essential ResponsibilitiesPurchase Trane and American Standard OEM parts for stock inventoryPurchase supplies for stock inventory from 25+ vendorsUsing sales history and forecasting, maintain inventory levels for supplies and OEM partsPlace direct orders for supplies and OEM parts based on procurement from sales teamUpload price updates in ERP system (Solar Eclipse)Set up new SKUs in ERP, and manage/update product files for existing SKUsConfirm ERP SKU pricing for supplies and OEM parts against vendor invoicesFile claims with vendors for shipment discrepancies or damageQualificationsMinimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred, not required.Minimum Experience: Previous experience in purchasing, inventory management, customer service, and HVAC distribution is highly desirable.Skills and Competencies:Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and manage time effectivelyProficiency using CRM software and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong organizational skills and attention to detailKnowledge of HVAC system and products is an advantageJoin a Legacy of Excellence at Air EngineersAir Engineers proudly serves as the longest-standing independent Trane Technologies distributor in the United States.
