As a company we shall never accept anything less than a culture that fosters creativity, growth, and profitability for both our Partners and the company.PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Controller will provide strategic leadership, direction, and oversight of the organization’s financial accounting and reporting functions. Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership, ensuring financial integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with business objectives. Drive continuous improvement in accounting operations in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead and oversee all aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with GAAP.Provide executive-level oversight of all finance and accounting operations, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Billing, Fixed Assets, Tax (Sales and Use), General Ledger, Financial Reporting, and Treasury Management.Deliver strategic financial insights through advanced analysis, forecasting, and modeling to support decision-making and long-term planning.Ensure the integrity of the general ledger, including full ownership of balance sheet and P&L accuracy, reconciliation, and financial controls.Establish, maintain, and continuously enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute departmental and organizational goals, aligning financial strategies with business priorities.Design and optimize organizational structure, workforce planning, and talent development strategies within the finance function.Lead external audit engagements, including coordination with auditors, resolution of findings, and implementation of process improvements.Drive transformation initiatives, including process automation, system optimization (e.g., ERP systems such as NetSuite), and operational efficiencies.Provide technical accounting leadership, including research, interpretation, and implementation of GAAP guidance; prepare formal accounting memos and policies.Act as a mentor and leader to finance staff, fostering a high-performance culture through recruitment, coaching, and performance management.Serve as a cross-functional partner, effectively communicating financial performance and risks to stakeholders across the organization.Support and enhance financial systems functionality to improve reporting capabilities and data integrity.Perform additional strategic or operational duties as assigned by executive leadership (e.g., CFO).QUALIFICATION: Required:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or advanced degree strongly preferred).8–12+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with demonstrated leadership responsibility.Certified Public AccountingPreferred:Experience in operations, manufacturing, or complex, multi-entity environments.Experience working as a Controller under private-equity ownershipPrior experience in a senior leadership role.CRITICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Deep expertise in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite or similar), and automated reporting tools.Proven ability to lead large teams, influence senior stakeholders, and drive organizational change.Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to executive audiences.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines, and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail. Education and/or Training:Required- 3 to 5 years in finance and accounting.Preferred Additional-Operations or manufacturing experience.
