Relief FOH Berkshire House Shift Supervisor, PittsfieldCSO is looking for a Relief Shift Supervisor for our FOH Berkshire House program in Pittsfield.Our FOH Berkshire House is a 24 hour/day, 7 day/week fully supported transitional housing program. Berkshire House provides beds for chronically homeless individuals residing in Berkshire County. This program is peer lead and staffed with Counselors and Case Managers.This position will provide leadership and coordination functions for the counseling staff in collaboration with the management team.We are looking for shift supervisors for evenings, overnights, and weekends.Starting Pay: $21/hourAs an FOH Berkshire House Shift Supervisor:You Will:Provide mentorship for new employees in orientation, serving as a role model for other program staffChampion education and training programs for Counselor StaffFor shift in charge, coordinate food and menu planning including assistance with shopping lists, purchase and delivery, and organization/storage of food supplies under supervision of director; coordinate with nursing staff and Director regarding general and specific nutritional needs of the residentsEnsure access to personal care supplies and products for clients/guestsProvide guidance for all routine employee-related matters and confer with supervisor on non-routine personnel or other related matters affecting employees; address personnel issues as needed during shift and notify supervisor of issues and outcomesSupport schedule development and staff work assignments; provide feedback to supervisor regarding employee performance as observed and managed during shiftsServe as point of contact for building, technical, client/guest, or operational issues that arise during shift; address non-critical issues directly and notify supervisor or other management staff in accordance with established proceduresServe as point of contact for staff callouts after hours and weekends, and coordinate appropriate coverage with management in accordance with established procedures.Provide shift supervisory cross-program coverage as directedParticipate in the CSO Trauma Informed Care initiative and quality improvement initiatives.Establish a 1:1 therapeutic relationship with each program clientProvide support and safety for clients utilizing the programAssist clients with activities of daily living, including self-care, cooking, recreation, and medication responsibilities according to individual treatment plansPrepare meals during shift and coordinate shift duties with other counselor working shift during meal preparationShare observations, interactions, and knowledge to develop 24-hour care plansYour Background:Bachelor's degree (preferred)Human Services related work or internship (preferred)Previous supervisory experience (preferred)Computer proficiencyValid driver's license and reliable transportationBilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.We also seek applicants who embody CSO's values by being:Positive -- maintaining resiliency and focusing on solutionsRespectful -- collaborating and effectively communicatingInsightful -- demonstrating self-awareness and effectively priority settingConscientious -- taking accountability and applying feedbackOur Agency:Clinical & Support Options, Inc. is a dynamic behavioral health organization serving Western Massachusetts for over 50 years.
