This is a hands-on, in-office role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-performance environment and enjoys supporting a broad range of people-related responsibilities in a company that is scaling quickly.This role plays an important part in helping the business run smoothly across several key areas, including employee relations, payroll support, benefits administration, HR operations, employee support, and recruiting coordination. While this is a broad people role, there is added importance on supporting employee relations matters with professionalism, responsiveness, sound judgment, and consistency. The right person will be someone who can help employees and managers navigate day-to-day people issues thoughtfully while also keeping core people processes organized and running effectively.A meaningful part of the role also includes helping support hiring efforts and proactive talent sourcing as needed, so we are looking for someone who is not only operationally strong, but also resourceful, organized, and comfortable working across multiple priorities.This is a strong opportunity for a people professional who likes variety, enjoys being close to the business, and is energized by a collaborative environment where people wear many hats, operate with urgency, and are empowered to take ownership. The right person will be highly responsive, organized, emotionally mature, and ready to contribute wherever needed as the company continues to grow.Core Responsibilities:Employee Relations & Employee SupportServe as a day-to-day point of contact for employees on routine people-related questions, concerns, and support needsProvide support on employee relations matters, including routine issue intake, documentation, follow-up, policy interpretation, and coordination with leadership as neededPartner with HR leadership and managers to help ensure employee matters are handled consistently, professionally, and with sound judgmentSupport employee coaching, communication, and documentation processes related to workplace issues, performance concerns, attendance matters, and other routine employee relations needsHelp reinforce company policies, expectations, and people practices in a clear, practical, and employee-friendly wayAssist in maintaining a positive, well-run, high-accountability employee experience across the businessHelp prepare employee-facing communications, policy updates, and related people materialsPayroll & People AdministrationSupport payroll processing activities with a high degree of accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detailReview and help maintain employee data, job changes, compensation updates, and other payroll-related recordsMaintain organized and accurate employee files, people records, and documentationSupport onboarding and offboarding administration, including new hire paperwork, employee communications, and internal coordinationAssist with general people administration and help ensure day-to-day HR / People Operations activities run smoothly and efficientlyHelp build and maintain organized people processes, templates, trackers, and workflowsBenefits AdministrationSupport benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, terminations, and employee questionsAssist employees with routine benefits-related inquiries and coordinate with vendor partners as neededHelp prepare for and support open enrollment activities, employee communications, and follow-upMaintain accurate benefits records and assist with reconciliations and reporting where neededRecruiting & Talent SupportSupport recruiting efforts for roles as needed, including interview coordination, candidate communication, and process supportAssist with proactive candidate sourcing for current and future hiring needs using LinkedIn, job boards, and other recruiting channelsHelp build and maintain talent pipelines for priority rolesMaintain recruiting trackers, candidate records, and other hiring-related documentationPartner with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to help move searches forward with urgency and strong follow-throughCollaboration, Ownership & ExecutionWork closely with internal partners in a highly collaborative, in-office environmentManage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining a high standard of responsiveness, accuracy, and follow-throughTake ownership of assigned work and proactively solve problems as issues ariseAdapt quickly to changing priorities and shifting business needsSupport additional people-related projects and organizational initiatives as the company grows and evolvesQualifications:3+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, HR Operations, Employee Relations, or a related people support role. Experience supporting multiple people functions such as employee relations, payroll, benefits, onboarding, HR administration, and recruiting supportDemonstrated ability to handle routine employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, sound judgment, and consistencyStrong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential informationAbility to work with urgency, manage multiple priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environmentResourceful, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a setting with ambiguity and evolving prioritiesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and WordFamiliarity with HRIS, payroll systems, applicant tracking systems, and benefits platformsStrongly Preferred:Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced, startup-like, or high-performance company environmentHands-on experience supporting payroll and benefits administrationExperience supporting routine employee relations documentation, employee communications, and HR compliance-related processesExperience with sourcing candidates directly through LinkedIn Recruiter or similar platformsExperience working in an operationally intensive business such as food, distribution, logistics, trading, or supply chain Compensation & Benefits:Fully paid medical, dental, and vision coverage for employeesCompany-paid life and disability insurance401(k) with company matchDaily catered lunches + fully stocked breakroomStrong growth runway inside a company experiencing significant growthBase salary: $85,000 - $108,000
