Electronic Lab Technician (Santa Clara)

12 month temp to hire contractSanta Clara, CAPays up to $39.28 an hourCandidates must have valid U.S. work authorization.RESPONSIBILITIES:This position's primary focus, at this time, will be to support MBE R&D labs located in Santa Clara. Product labs support and on building, enhance, and maintain highly available infrastructure.Ability to work independently or as a team on repetitive physical tasks without direct supervision after initial on-the-job training on tasks as outlined below:Install, configure, and maintain lab-specific hardware and software applications and tools used by research teams.Document HW setups, and best practices for knowledge sharing and reference.Removal of end-of-life hardware from engineering labsStrong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).Proficiency in Linux and Windows server administration and troubleshooting.Assist in asset and HW components inventory management (GLPI)Test HW boards and server componentsTroubleshooting power distribution unit (PDU) and network switch related issuesShould be flexible to work with remote teams in India to debug any lab-related issues.General housekeeping of labsProven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.Comments for Suppliers:Looking for candidates with hands-on experience in rack-mounting servers and hardware, setting up networking switches and PDUs, and managing inventory—including receiving shipments and accurately logging assets into inventory systems.
