For one of our Swiss clients, we are currently looking for two experienced Lead EBOP Engineers (m/f/d) to support a large-scale hydropower project in Wales.This role sits at the heart of an international engineering setup, delivering high-quality Electrical Balance of Plant (EBOP) design for complex power generation systems.Project OverviewThe project involves a major hydropower plant, with a European engineering team supporting an Indian design team. Your focus will be on hands-on EBOP design, validation, and the delivery of customer-approved technical documentation.The EBOP scope covers the full lifecycle, including:Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)Electrical calculations and specificationsInterface coordination and design reviewsOccasional site visits for approvals and issue resolution Your ResponsibilitiesLead design and validation of EBOP systems (SLDs, sizing, specifications, BoMs)Translate customer contracts and international standards (IEC, ANSI, NFPA, CE, etc.) into robust technical requirementsPerform electrical studies:Protection & groundingAC/DC systemsUPS, switchgear, cablingReview and validate vendor documentation and support technical evaluationsCollaborate closely with engineering teams in France and IndiaParticipate in FOE activities, customer meetings, design reviews, and site visitsPrepare and maintain design packages using AutoCAD, ETAP, and EPLANRequired Qualifications (Must‑Have)5+ years of EBOP experience5+ years of strong, hands-on electrical design experienceNice to HaveMedium- and high-voltage power plant background5–6 years of experience in power plant projectsDegree in Electrical EngineeringStrong knowledge of international standards (IEC, ANSI, NFPA, Canadian, Indian, European)Proactive, autonomous working styleExperience in hydropower projects and/or BOP equipment designProject DetailsStart: ASAPDuration: 12 months+Workload: Full-timeLocation: Remote (travel required around 2 times per month)Travel Requirements:Wales: approx. every 2 monthsGrenoble, France: 1–2× per month during the first 3 monthsThen approx. 1× per monthCandidate location: EuropeLanguages: Fluent English required; French is a strong plusInterested?If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, don’t hesitate to reach out.
