Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting a Board Certified Occupational Health Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to provide locum coverage for two clinics in Newport News, VAPosition Details:Job Title: Occupational Health Advanced Practice Provider LocumLocation: Newport News, VirginiaDates of Coverage: As soon as credentialed; ongoing coverage needs with varying datesReason for Coverage: Support two full-time providers during time off or position vacanciesPractice Setting: Occupational HealthSchedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to close (typically 4:30 PM, may be extended for walk-in injuries)Average Patients Per Day: 8 10Number of Exam Rooms: 5Number of Physicians in Practice: 1Support Staff: RNs, RTs, MAs, LPN, RN Supervisor, Office Manager, PSRsDocumentation System: Systoc EMRKey Responsibilities:• Conduct pre-employment physicals• Perform return-to-duty testing• Conduct DOT physicals• Provide workers compensation injury careTravel Reimbursement:• Lodging reimbursement capped at $150 per night• Travel bookings approved for standard/economy rates• Travel preferred outside of scheduled working hoursRequirements:• Board Certified (NP or PA) REQUIRED• Active Virginia medical license REQUIRED• Current BLS and ACLS certifications REQUIRED• DOT Certification REQUIRED• Immunizations current for influenza (flu season), COVID-19, TB (QuantFERON Gold), and MMR REQUIRED• Must be willing to cover all listed clinic locationsAssignment Benefits:• Competitive locum compensation (details discussed during interview)• Weekly direct deposit• Malpractice insurance provided• Dedicated recruiter support throughout the assignment About Vivo HealthStaff:Vivo HealthStaff is a San Francisco Bay Area-based healthcare staffing and recruitment firm serving clinics and healthcare organizations nationwide.
