Over 30,000 clients trust us with their customs brokerage, trade consulting, global trade management and freight needs.Job SummaryThe Drawback Consultant will work directly with customers and CBP and will be involved in all aspects of the drawback process including preparing manual & automated claims, developing SOPs, and preparing responses to Customs inquiries. The Consultant will also be a source for the team with regulatory knowledge, able to train employees on different types of drawback, and handle multiple clients ranging in size and volume.Key Duties & ResponsibilitiesComplete processing and submission of drawback claimsManagement of multiple Drawback clientsCompletion of Applications, Desk Reviews, and other correspondence with CBPAvailable for guidance to the other members of the Drawback TeamAssist with the integration of new drawback programsProvide consulting services to drawback clientsResolve client issues and suggest process improvementsMaintain client folders, documentation and desk proceduresAssist with maximization of existing drawback programsProvide outstanding customer service to clientsAssist in monitoring the quality level for projects and ensure that quality issues are properly addressed and resolved.Knowledge & Skills5 + years of technical experience in customs and international tradeIdeally 5 + years of technical drawback expertise in processing Drawback refunds Customs broker’s license, Certified Customs Specialist or confirmed customs experienceAbility to read and understand customs rules and regulations and apply them to the clients’ operations and challengesStrong analytical ability and strategic thinker with ability to manage projects from inception through executionStrong proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel and Access).Highly detail oriented and capable of handling large amounts of dataAbility to work under tight deadlinesMust be honest, dependable and confidentialExcellent organizational skills and be able to work independently with minimal managerial inputSelf-starting and great with time managementConcise communication skills (both verbally and in writing)Work Experience – Minimum Required5 years of related experienceEDUCATIONRequired: Bachelors Degree or equivalentCOMPETENCIESAgilityAccountabilityInclusion and CollaborationLeading and DevelopingCustomer First FocusWe know that women and people of color may be less likely to apply if their professional experience does not exactly match the job description.
