This role also assists with import operations and import freight payments. The position requires frequent interaction with internal teams, external partners, and customers, demanding professionalism, courtesy, and strong communication skills.The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.ResponsibilitiesRespond to information requests from U.S. import customs brokers regarding import shipmentsAudit import shipment documentation for U.S. Customs compliance and accuracyDocument, communicate, and follow up on discrepancies and corrective actionsMaintain filing systems and records for domestic and international shipmentsCommunicate with third-party logistics providers via phone, email, and web portalsTrack, trace, and report on inbound material flowReview freight bills, invoices, and purchase orders for accuracyPerform data entry for freight bills, customs audit logs, and related recordsProcess freight quote requests from internal and external customers and communicate responsesSupport additional transportation department functions as neededParticipate in cross-training across transportation functionsCollaborate effectively with coworkers, vendors, and customersMinimum QualificationsHigh school diploma (additional coursework or certifications in logistics or supply chain preferred)2+ years of experience in transportation, shipping, or logisticsStrong verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Working knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS)Understanding of international and domestic shipping documentation and processesAbility to manage tasks independently and contribute to cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsAssociates DegreeExperience with import documentation and compliance processesKnowledge of HTS classification and import regulationsFamiliarity with freight auditing and logistics systemsCompensation Information:The specific hiring rate within the posted pay range will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience.$22.30 - $24.00 per hourITW is an equal opportunity employer.
