Captivation is looking for software developers who can get stuff done while making a difference in support of the mission to protect our country.DescriptionCaptivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who shall be responsible for creating, sustaining, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows including data storage, data transport, data management, data security, data compliance, and knowledge store management. Additional tasking shall include working with the mission customer to perform exploratory data analysis on raw data to clean, enrich, transform and convert the raw data into the required formats. The Software Engineer shall also be responsible for devising methods to improve existing operational data flow processing, distribution, and reliabilityRequirementsSecurity Clearance:Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizenMinimum Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexityFourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.Required Skills:Experience using the Linux CLI and ToolsExperience writing scripts using Bash/PythonExperience designing and implementing Java solutionsExperience with Apache NiFi system administrationExperience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute dataExperience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flowsExperience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)Desired Skills:Experience with Corporate data flow processes and toolsExperience with Corporate data security and compliance procedures and policiesDemonstrated ability to design, develop, and maintain Perl scripts and applicationsThis position is open for direct hires only.
