Ecommerce Manager

Position: Ecommerce ManagerLocation: Bozeman, MT, USAEmployment Type: Full-Time, In-PersonDepartment: EcommerceReports To: COOPOSITION OVERVIEW:We're looking for an Ecommerce Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the online sales, digital strategy, and growth of the business. This position is responsible for establishing the Ecommerce Department at EVERGOODS. This is a hands-on, high ownership role for a manager with a versatile skillset who is comfortable setting strategy and executing at a detailed level.This individual will own the site experience end to end, from digital strategy and customer journey planning to building product pages, launching custom landing pages, and optimizing and improving conversion rate. This role partners closely with Marketing, Creative, and Operations to ensure the site is fast, intuitive, conversion focused, and aligned with brand standards.This position is ideal for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building systems from scratch, and is comfortable doing whatever the team needs to succeed.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESEcommerce Strategy & OwnershipEstablish and lead the Ecommerce Department, including processes, tools, and performance standardsOwn the ecommerce roadmap in partnership with the COO and Head of GrowthPlan and manage the site calendar including launches, updates, campaigns, and experimentsReport on site performance, user behavior, and key ecommerce KPIsSite Management & Page CreationOwn and manage all areas of the site including PDPs, collection pages, homepage, navigation, sitelinks, blog posts, and customer experience landing pages.Build and maintain all web pages and templatesCreate landing pages for customer acquisition and seasonal campaignsEnsure site quality, accuracy, and consistency across all pagesConversion Rate Optimization & PerformanceOwn revenue per session and conversion rate as primary KPIsManage A/B testing programs from ideation through execution and analysisOwn heat map tools and user behavior analysisImprove mobile experience and overall usabilityOptimize load speeds and site performanceImprove Quality Score for paid media through landing page relevance and performanceMerchandisingOwn digital merchandising strategy across PDPs, collection pages, and featured site placements based on sales trends, inventory priorities, and customer behaviorDevelop and manage collection logic that supports launches, evergreen products, and seasonal prioritiesTest merchandising strategies to improve discoverability, conversion rate, and revenue per sessionUse data and site analytics to continuously refine product presentation and assortment strategyGraphic Design & UXCreate, design and manage visual content for the ecommerce site including PDP layouts, collection pages, homepage modules, landing pages, and promotional assetsApply strong UX/UI principles to improve navigation, product discovery, and checkout flowUse tools such as Figma to design, iterate, and document ecommerce experiences and page layoutsBuild and maintain reusable design components and patterns to support consistency and scalabilityCollaborate with Marketing and Creative to ensure visual alignment across campaigns and channelsSEO & Content ManagementOwn SEO strategy in partnership with MarketingManage blog content, structure, and publishingImprove keyword rankings through on page optimization and content strategyEnsure technical SEO best practices are implemented across the siteInternational & Platform GrowthLead international site launches and ongoing managementEvaluate, implement, and manage new site apps including post purchase, shipping, and customer facing toolsEnsure scalability and performance as traffic and complexity growCollaboration and Cross Functional WorkPartner with the Product team to gather necessary information to optimize product pages and develop on-site content strategyKickoff and co-manage the analysis and optimization of the customer journey with the Head of Growth and COOCollaborate with the paid media team to develop landing pages for paid and organic contentCollaborate with the creative team to plan out necessary media and assets for the siteTranslate business goals from COO into site execution with measurable resultsSpecial ProjectsAs the business grows and changes, the role may be assigned special projects as needed.RELEVANT SKILLSBachelor's degree3+ years of experience managing and growing a direct to consumer ecommerce site3+ years of experience with ShopifyStrong understanding of ecommerce platforms, CRO, SEO, and site performance optimizationAbility to both set strategy and execute day to day tasks independentlyExperience building and managing product pages and landing pagesFluent in data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA)Analytical mindset with comfort reporting on performance and user behaviorLimited but functional graphic design skills to manage site experience and layoutStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a fast paced environmentProven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, present findings in a clear and concise manner, and influence decision-makers.Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically, solve problems, and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of the organization.Experience with Figma, Canva, and Adobe Creative Cloud toolsGoogle Workspace tools (Drive, Calendar, Sheets,
