A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Trauma ICU Job Details: • Level one ICU Trauma experience required (must have directly worked in ICU at a level 1 for 1 years) • 1 year travel experience required • Cardiac experience required • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments • Assist physician in examination of patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment • Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and observe physiological manifestations • Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products • Interact with family and patient in sharing care plan while in hospital and at time of discharge • Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel • Delegate tasks to support staff • Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required • Current RN License issued by Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or multistate compact RN License (eNLC) required • Current Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association required • ACLS (American Heart Association) certification required • Good verbal and written communication skills required • Computer skills needed Facility: This major academic medical center serves as a leading healthcare institution providing comprehensive medical services including advanced trauma care.
